About the client
Doncasters Trucast, a member of the Doncasters group, is a key player in engineering, producing turbine wheels for the automotive and power generation sectors. In 2013, they chose Singlepoint as their Quality Management System to streamline their processes and provide visibility into their operations
Doncasters Trucast previously relied on Excel to manage performance data, a process that was not only cumbersome but also restricted to month-end reporting, hindering the ability to address issues in real-time and limiting the data’s availability to key staff members.
Implementing Singlepoint’s user-friendly Business Intelligence tool, Doncasters Trucast equipped their shop-floor with large display dashboards. These dashboards visualise machine efficiencies and shift patterns, offering an interactive, real-time overview of production metrics.
The introduction of Singlepoint Business Intelligence has markedly enhanced visibility and immediacy in performance monitoring for Doncasters Trucast.
IT Manager Robert Munns reports:
“The workforce can now see how well they are performing in real-time… The managers can also walk around the shop-floor and see this information, or have it displayed on their own computers at their desks.”
This transparency has empowered both the workforce and management to address production more proactively.
