What are the key capabilities of supplier relationship management software?
There are several ‘moving parts’ to track and manage in the supplier relationship; up to date key documentation such as legal documents, commercial contracts, quality, health and safety, supplier performance, audit actions etc. When you then multiply that by the number of suppliers you have, supplier management is clearly a very challenging process. Supplier Management software aims to automatically track and manage all of the key actions and tasks relevant to each supplier and to assemble the full historic record, broken down into segments, for each individual supplier. Real time reporting is also very important as this will provide valuable insights into the factual performance of your suppliers which in turn helps to drive continuous improvement across the supply chain.
